Creating a Fine

On the Compliance/Enforcement Action Details page, click the Fines tab. There, a fine can be added that creates a payable charge within nVIRO. This will show up as a charge for the external user as soon as the compliance action goes to In Effect status.

Click the Add New Fine button.

Fine types can be configured by an administrator to have different options. Fill out all required information and any additional information as needed and click the Save button:

The charge appears on the Financials page of the external user’s site:

Payment options (e.g., online payment, mail-in payment) are displayed in the payment section on the fine:

Generating an Invoice For a Fine

If the agency user wishes to create an invoice for the fine, this can be done while viewing the fine on the Documents tab. Invoice documents must be configured in nVIRO before they will be available for selection on this page.

Stipulations

Stipulations are actions that can be taken instead of paying fines or in addition to fines.

Creating a stipulation

To add a stipulation, navigate to the Fines tab on a compliance action.

Click the Add New Stipulation button. Fill out the stipulation description and the frequency with which the stipulation should be completed, and click the Save button:

Adding a Demand to a Stipulation

A demand can also be added to a stipulation. This is a secondary financial payment that will be made in combination with the stipulation. Click the Demand button on the right side of the row containing the stipulation. The demand will be calculated based on the frequency.

Fill out the required fields for the demand. Multiple charges can be added to the demand.

Any notification about stipulations or demands on those stipulations will need to be manually communicated to the responsible party as there is no automated notification that will appear on their Site Dashboard or Financials page.
