nSPECT Scheduler
Overview
nSPECT Scheduler provides various capabilities to support inspectors in conducting evaluations, including:
Bulk scheduling inspections in nSPECT
Mapping inspections in nSITE Explorer
Downloading a list of planned/scheduled inspections
In nVIRO, the term “evaluation” refers broadly to an agency review of regulated facilities, equipment, or documentation. This includes both on-site inspections and off-site desk audits or record reviews.
Because this page focuses on nSPECT, which is used for on-site inspections and site visits, the term “inspection” is mostly used. Keep in mind that within nVIRO, “evaluation” and “inspection” are essentially synonymous and often used interchangeably.
Accessing nSPECT Scheduler
The scheduler can be accessed using global search or the site navigation menu. For more information, see the Search by Topic page.
An evaluation only appears on the nSPECT Scheduler page if its evaluation type is configured for integration with nSPECT. To manage this setting, navigate to Admin > Lookups > Evaluation Types.
Bulk Scheduling Inspections in nSPECT
Users can select multiple inspections in Planned status and bulk schedule them in nSPECT. To do this:
On the nSPECT Scheduler page, select the checkbox next to each inspection to be scheduled. Selecting an inspection opens the Inspection Queue panel, and each additional inspection selected is automatically added to the queue.
Perform additional searches and select more inspections as needed. All selected inspections are added to the same Inspection Queue.
Complete relevant fields (described below) in the Assignment Options section beneath the Inspection Queue.
Click the Add to nSPECT button. The inspections are added to nSPECT, and a check mark appears next to each newly scheduled inspection.
If any selected inspections are already scheduled in nSPECT, they are ignored.
Assignment Options Fields
The following fields appear in the Assignment Options section.
Field | Description | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Assignment Options | Reassignment preferences for the inspections to be scheduled. Options include:
| The evaluator is identified through the next two fields. Only one evaluator may be selected. |
Workgroup | The workgroup to which the evaluator belongs. | The workgroup selected determines the users displayed in User field below. |
User | The user to whom the inspections will be assigned. |
|
Inspections cannot be scheduled in nSPECT without an assigned evaluator.
Mapping Inspections
To map sites scheduled for inspections, follow the steps above for bulk scheduling inspections into nSPECT, but click the Map Sites button below the Inspection Queue before clicking the Add to nSPECT button.
nSITE Explorer opens in a new browser tab and displays the sites to be inspected.
Downloading a List of Inspections
To export information about the inspections to be scheduled as a .csv file, click the Export to Excel button next to the Map Sites button.
The .csv file is downloaded based on the user’s browser settings. The file contains the following data for each inspection:
Evaluation Number
Site Name
Site Address
County
Evaluation Type
Evaluator
Scheduled Date
Evaluation Status
