Event Types
Overview
Event Types define Submission-level events (Comments, Letters, Public Notices, Inspections, etc.) conducted on a Site.
Managing Event Types
nVIRO contains 22 Event Types that can be configured and maintained within the Lookup tool (Lookup Maintenance) , driving different system behavior depending on the needs of each program. All Event Types may not be currently applicable or available based on the functional modules that the program is utilizing. Navigate to Admin → Lookups → Event Types to view or make adjustments to any Event Type.
Editing Event Types
Program-level Event configuration will be updated here.
Note - Event Category is read-only when editing an existing Event Types. When adding a new Event Type, the Event Category field may be set to either a Basic Event or Public Notice/Hearing/Meeting as seen below, which will make that given Event Type only available dependent on which type of Event is being added.
Event Type Details
Field | Description |
Lookup Code | The unique internal reference code used to identify the specific event. |
Lookup Description | The unique text description for the Lookup Event Type. |
Event Category | Indicates the category in which the Event will apply to; Basic Event or Public Notice/Hearing/Meeting. |
Program Areas | Multi-select dropdown, indicating which program area(s) the Event Type configuration will apply to. This includes the “Cross-Platform” option, which applies to all program areas. |
Show Event Start/End Time of Day (Hour/Minute) | Indicates whether or not the submission-level event will show the Event start and end date. |
Require Permit Link | Indicates if a Linked Permit is required prior to issuing the event. |
‘Send Notifications’ Checkbox Checked by Default Upon Adding Event | Indicates if the Send Notifications checkbox gets automatically checked at the time of adding the event. This will function only if overall Notifications are configured for that Site. |
Minimum Duration | (Public Notice Only) Defines a custom validation window for the Start and End Date intervals of a Public Notice Event in calendar days. Certain events may need to validate for 30 days, others for 15, 45, etc. |
ICIS Permit Tracking Event Code | Air-specific Tracking Code assigned to the ICIS record that will be issued to the EPA. |
Saving Changes
To save changes, click the Save button. A message will display confirming the save. To cancel saving or return to the list after saving, click the Cancel button.
