Affiliation Types (Roles)

Affiliation Types (Roles)

Overview

nVIRO uses affiliation types, or roles, to indicate the roles that contacts play in the context of a specific functional area (e.g., site, permit, evaluation, submission, etc.). For example, a submission might have a contact with the affiliation type of “Applicant” and another contact with the affiliation type of “Facility Contact” (or a single contact with both of these affiliation types). These affiliations allow for contact inheritance across functional areas and contact data integration between nCORE and nFORM. Affiliation type codes are also used to reference contact information in generated documents, if set up to do so in a given document template. Lastly, affiliation types can be used to specify recipients of system notifications, as configured in System Actions.
