Evaluation Types

Overview

Evaluation Types define a form of on-site inspection or off-site audit conducted on a site.

System-Required Evaluation Types

nVIRO contains several system-required evaluation types. These are used by nVIRO when creating an automated system evaluation, such as a schedule that is past it's due date. System-required evaluation types are displayed as read-only on the Evaluation Type lookup edit screen.

Managing Evaluation Types

To manage evaluation types, navigate to Admin > Lookups > Evaluation Types. The Evaluation Types List page will display all available evaluation types.

Edit Evaluation Type Screen

Adding or Editing an Evaluation Type

From the Evaluation Types List page either click the Add New Evaluation Type button or Open an existing evaluation type.

  • Enter the fields to define the Evaluation Type

  • Click Save to save the new/updated record

Navigation Tabs

The following navigation tabs are available across the top of the page:

Details Tab

Each field available on the evaluation type edit screen’s details tab is described below:

Field

Description

Evaluation Type Code

Internal identifier for each unique evaluation type

Evaluation Type Description

Text display for the evaluation type

Program Area

Indicates to which program area the evaluation type relates. Every evaluation type must be assigned a specific program area.

Evaluation Number Prefix

If specified, nVIRO will apply a specific numbering scheme to new evaluations created of this type. The available numbering schemes are configured as part of system installation and configuration. If no scheme is selected, a randomly generated unique identifier will be assigned to each new evaluation of this type.

Evaluation Type Decisions

Decisions are used to indicate the outcome of an evaluation. For example, the decisions could be Satisfactory, Marginal, or Unsatisfactory for a given evaluation type. If no decision types are defined, then the Decision field will not appear on the Evaluation Details screen.

Note: available decisions when performing an Evaluation status update are defined in the database and are independent of this setting.

Decisions can be driven by questions entered on an nSPECT mobile inspection form. See topic nCORE / nSPECT Data Integration for more information.

Default Workflow Templates

One or more Workflow Templates may be selected to be automatically added when a new evaluation of this type is created.

Show Samples Tab on Evaluation Detail Screen

When checked, displays a Samples tab when editing an evaluation of this type. The Samples tab allows for entering information related to samples taken during the inspection.

nSPECT Settings

For installations of nVIRO that include nSPECT mobile inspection integration, Evaluation Types can be mapped to nSPECT for conducting mobile inspections.

Enable nSPECT Integration Checkbox

Indicates that this evaluation type is tied to an nSPECT evaluation type. When adding a new Evaluation Type, saving the new type will also create a new evaluation type in nSPECT that is mapped to the nVIRO inspection type.

If the Enable nSPECT Integration is checked, evaluations of this type will be available to the nSPECT Scheduler.  If not checked, evaluations of this type are not included in the nSPECT Scheduler.

Once set, this cannot be undone except by a database administrator.

Set Inspection Report to "Final" Status when nSPECT Inspection is Completed

When an Inspection is completed within nSPECT and synchronized with nCORE, if the "Automatically set Inspection Report as Final" option is set for the Inspection Type, then the Inspection report document is automatically set to Final status when imported from nSPECT.

nSPECT Inspection Report File Type

Indicates the format of the nSPECT-generated inspection report. Select either PDF or Word (DOCX).

Default Followup Evaluation Type

When a field on an nSPECT inspection form has type "Date", and tag "FOLLOWUP_DATE", populating the field will result Followup Inspection being added to nVIRO with this evaluation type.

This is also used when the Create Follow-up Inspection" button is clicked from the Evaluation screen's Violation tab.
