Viewing and Editing Site Details
Overview
As explained on the Sites page, a “site” is a flexible record type used to represent any entity being tracked or regulated, including physical locations, individuals, and organizations involved in environmental activities. When a site record is created, it is assigned a category—Site, Person, or Organization—which determines available settings and unique behavior.
Details for each site are managed on the Site Details, Person Details, or Organization Details pages, respectively, depending on the selected category. Navigation tabs and settings available on each page are outlined below. Unless otherwise noted, “site” refers to all three site categories.

Navigation Tabs
The following navigation tabs appear across the top of the Site Details, Person Details, and Organization Details pages.

Fields
The following fields appear on the Details tab of the Site Details, Person Details, and/or Organization Details pages.

Site Managers | Internal users designated as site managers. Site managers can edit site information even if they have no active work on that site. They can also be chosen as recipients for certain site-related notifications. | Y | Y | Y |
Employer Identification Number | The organization’s IRS-assigned employer identification number (EIN). | N | N | Y |
Local Unit of Government (LUG) | The Local Unit of Government in which the site or organization is located (if applicable). | Y | N | Y |

SIC Codes | Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes related to the site or organization. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description appears below the text box. | Y | N | Y |
NAICS Codes | North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes related to the site or organization. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description appears below the text box. | Y | N | Y |

HUC | The Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) in which the site or organization is located. | Y | N | Y |

Prevent External Access | The option to show or hide the Invite User button on the site. If checked after external users already have access to the site, their access is not affected; it only prevents additional users from being invited. Right Sidebar
The following fields appear in the right-hand sidebar.

Alerts | Warnings, such as expired permits, outstanding balances, or open compliance actions, or or known hazards, such as chemical contamination or dangerous animals, related to the site. | For information, see the Alerts page. |
Photo | A photo of the site. | To add a photo (.png or .jpg), click the Upload Image button. |
Derived Data | Derived geospatial data (such as Public Land Survey System [PLSS] data), the district name, or the county name based on the geographic coordinates entered on the Site Plan tab. | For more information, see the Derived Data (Site Details) page. |
Alternative Names | Alternative names for the site (such as a program-specific facility ID number or EPA ID number). To add or modify alternative names, click the View All / Edit button. | For more information, see the Site Types and Site Alternative Name Types page. |
View History | A button that opens an audit of changes made to the site over time. | For more information, see the Audit History page. |
View in Explorer | A button that opens the site in nSITE Explorer, which displays geospatial data and environmental interest information related to the site. |
