Notifications
Overview
The Notifications page serves as an inbox for user notifications. Notifications are configured using notification templates and are generated by system actions. System actions may trigger notifications based on specific criteria, such as a permit approaching its expiration date, or system events, like a new submission or an application status change.
This page discusses the Notifications page. For information about the User Notifications page, where all notifications sent through nVIRO can be reviewed and exported, see the User Notifications page.
Accessing Notifications
Notifications can be accessed by clicking the notification icon at the top of each nVIRO page or through the main menu.
Accessing Notifications Through the Notification Icon
Clicking the notification icon at the top of the page displays a short list of recent notifications.
A red dot on the icon indicates new, unread notifications. Click a notification name to view the full message, or click the View All button to open the Notifications page.
Accessing Notifications Through the Main Menu
To access notifications through the main menu, navigate to Home > Notifications.
Managing Notifications
The Notifications page lists all notifications sent to a user and organizes them into four tabs: Unread, Read, Trash, and All.
A checkbox appears next to each notification. Individual notifications can be selected using these boxes, or all notifications in the list can be selected using the checkbox at the top of the column.
Selecting one or more notifications on the Unread or Read tab enables the Delete Selected button, which moves the selected notifications to the Trash tab.
Selecting one or more notifications on the Trash tab enables the Remove Selected from Trash button, which restores the selected notifications to the Read tab.
Viewing Notifications
To view a notification, click the notification name (on the list under the notification icon or on the Notifications page). This opens a detail page with the full notification, as well as any linked attachments.
Click the Delete button on this page to move the notification to the Trash tab. Click the Close button to exit the page.
Deleted notifications remain in the trash for 30 days from the date of deletion; they are permanently deleted after that point.
The first time a notification is viewed, the Acknowledged Date is set to the current date. This date is visible on the User Notifications page.
