nSITE Explorer
Overview
nSITE Explorer is a web-based GIS mapping and inquiry application. It provides an integrated, cross-programmatic view of information for sites that are of environmental concern to an agency.
Key capabilities provide by nSITE Explorer include:
Site Search and Filtering. Search on keywords, or perform an advanced search on specific fields. Sites matching the search results are displayed in a panel alongside the map. Search results may be further refined by applying one or more agency defined filters.
Map Display. The nSITE Explorer map provides a visual interactive method to explore information about sites and the surrounding geography. Using the map display, users have the ability to perform such actions as:
Zoom in/out of the displayed map. Depending on zoom level, sites are displayed in a cluster, or as individual pins on the map.
Apply GIS layers. Apply base layers (Satellite, Street, Topo) or custom (client specific) layers to the map display.
Measure. Measure distances or areas on the map.
Access site profile information.
Site Detail. Selecting a site from either the search results or from the map provide access to site detail information which includes a site profile, and may include a detail map, compliance, documents, or chemical information.
Export. Export spatial data, text or documentation.
