The nSPECT Mobile app for Windows, iOS and Android enables field inspectors to work on the go, with or without a network connection.

nSPECT is a mobile inspection application that was designed by and for field inspectors. It is built to support organizations of all sizes—from small teams to large enterprise programs—and can integrate with corporate-scale data systems. nSPECT is part of Windsor’s nVIRO product suite. 

nSPECT is available as both a web application and a mobile app from the Google Play Store (Android) and the Apple App Store (iOS). Both versions offer similar functionality, though the mobile app provides a streamlined user interface optimized for field use.

nSPECT Mobile includes offline capabilities that allow inspectors to conduct inspections without internet access. Data is saved on the device as it is entered and automatically synced with the nSPECT server once a network connection is restored.

nSPECT Mobile offers a range of features that make field inspections more efficient and easier to manage.

Inspection forms are completed by answering and annotating the controls defined on each form. Depending on the form’s design, controls may support:

• Automatic violation marking based on responses

• Manual violation marking

• Adding comments to a control

• Attaching photos to a control

• Marking the GPS location associated with a control

nSPECT Mobile is designed for ease of use. Forms can be automatically downloaded to a mobile device for use in the field, and navigation between forms and form sections is fast and easy.

nSPECT Mobile allows inspectors to work fully offline if necessary. Users can create new sites and attach existing nSPECT forms in the field, then sync the new data to the nSPECT server once a connection is restored.

After returning from the field, inspection data automatically syncs to the nSPECT server. Because nSPECT works similarly on mobile devices and desktops, users can easily locate and edit responses. Summary data captured in the field can be reviewed and refined later at the inspector’s desktop.

The complete results of an inspection can be generated as a formatted inspection report. When needed, non-compliance notices can also be created with just a few clicks. Reports can be emailed directly to recipients from the mobile app.

Once the inspection is documented, the data and inspection reports can be automatically pushed to nVIRO or another compliance and enforcement data management system. This direct transfer of inspections and violations minimizes manual data entry and improves accuracy.
