Conducting an Inspection (nSPECT Mobile)

Conducting an Inspection (nSPECT Mobile)

Overview

Users can conduct inspections in the field while online or offline using nSPECT Mobile.

When an inspection is completed online, nSPECT Mobile automatically syncs with the server. If the user is offline, syncing will occur once a connection is reestablished. While offline, some features—such as viewing the inspection report—may be disabled. For more information, see the Synchronizing with the nSPECT Server page.

These inspections can include multiple forms if needed, as illustrated by the diagram below.

Each inspection includes the following tabs: Forms, Violations, and Details.

Updating Form Questions

Inspection forms are organized into sections, each containing one or more question controls that may be formatted, pre-populated, required, or conditionally displayed based on configuration. For more information on control types available in nSPECT Mobile, see the nSPECT Mobile Control Types page.

Viewing and Editing Repeating Sections

If a form contains a repeating section, each added instance of that section is displayed in a list.

To add a new instance of a repeating section, click the Add Section button at the bottom of the list and enter information when prompted.

To change the order of the repeating sections, click the Reorder button at the top right of the page.
