Portfolios are used to group related sites, persons, and companies. The relationship between entities that defines a portfolio is a decision by the implementing agency. For example, portfolios could be used to represent shared ownership or a common operator. Portfolios summarize potential items of concern (called "alerts") across the entities in the portfolio. Alerts can include outstanding balances due, expired permits, or pending/active compliance actions. Additional alerts may be made available as the NCORE system evolves.
If a site, person or company belongs to a portfolio, the portfolio information will appear on the sidebar of the following screens: Site/Person/Company Detail, Permit Detail, Submission Detail, Evaluation Detail, and Compliance Action Detail. The sidebar will display the portfolio name, a link to portfolio details (including all alert details) and provide a summary count of alerts at the portfolio level.
A site may only belong to a single portfolio. It a site is added to a portfolio, it will automatically be removed from any other portfolios it may belong to.
