Overview

Alerts exist on the main site details screen page and throughout the system and are used to call attention to certain pieces of information related to the site. Alert types are maintained on the Lookups page on the Administration menu. 

Managing Alert Types

To manage alert types, navigate to Admin > Lookups > Alert Types. The alert types Alert Types list screen page displays all available alert types.  :

Adding or Editing an Alert Type

From the alert type List On the Alert Type list page, either click the the Add New Alert type button or click Open (to add a new alert type) or click Open (to view /or edit an existing alert type). The Edit alert type Alert Type page opens:

The following fields are displayed on the Edit alert type Alert Type page:

FieldDescription
Alert CodeThe internal reference code used to uniquely identify the alert type. This value must be unique.

Alert type Description

The text description for the alert type. This value must be unique.
Functional AreaAllows selection of the functional area for the alert.
Label StyleAllows the selection of a colorization style that an alert will be given throughout the system.
GUI SymbolThe single letter or symbol to be used by an alert throughout the system.

System Required Alert Types

It is important to note that certain alert types are system required.   These alert types can only not be viewed edited and display a slightly modified view-only edit page:

Saving Changes

To save changes, click the Save button. To cancel saving or to return to the list after saving, click the Cancel button.

The In the Status field displays , in the right side panel. The , click the Inactive | Active toggle toggle control activates to activate or inactivates inactivate the alert type. 

Deleting an Alert Type

Alert types may be deleted from the Alert Type List page if they have not been referenced elsewhere in the application. 

To delete an alert type, click on the corresponding action menu (...three vertical dots) and select click Delete.
