Overview

Users can view and edit details about projects on the Project Activity Details page. As with other functional areas within nVIRO, this page contains tabs for common attributes like workflows and tasks, contacts, and schedules. It also contains a Purchase Orders tab, which is unique to project activities.Image Removed

Navigation Tabs

The following navigation tabs are available across the top of the page:

Tab Name

Description

Details

Details about the project activity, as described below. 

Workflow

Workflows and Tasks

Tracking of activities and steps needed to complete a business process related to the project activity.

Documents

Files related to the project activity that have been generated or uploaded by an agency user or received electronically from an external user.

Events

Tracking of events related to the project activity such as phone calls, meetings, or other correspondence.

Contacts

Contacts related to the project activity, including people and organizations and their related addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

Program Components

Extensible, user-defined data entry forms used to capture additional information about the project activity.

Schedules

Tracking of project-related submissions such as notification forms or reports. 

Managing Purchase Orders and Payables

Tracking of project-related purchase orders and payables from vendors.


Details Tab

The following table lists the fields available on the Details tab:

Field

Description

Program Area

The program area (e.g., Remediation, Hazardous Waste, Storage Tanks) in which the project activity is organized within nVIRO.

Project Activity Type

The overall project activity type, such as Leaking UST or Brownfields.

Project Activity Category

The specific category of work with which the project activity is concerned, such as Assessment or Monitoring. 

Project Activity Description

Brief description of the project activity.

Start Date

The effective start date of the project activity.

End Date

The end date of the project activity. Note that end date may or may not be available depending on application configuration. 

Project Activity Manager Workgroup

The workgroup to which the project activity manager belongs. The workgroup selected in this field determines which users are available for selection in the Project Activity Manager field below.

Project Activity Manager

The project activity manager for this project. The selected project activity manager receives notifications of significant project-related events, such as submitted schedules and workflow task status updates.

Comments

Comments related to the project activity.


Right Sidebar Controls

The following table lists the fields available on the right sidebar.

Field

Description

Status

The current status of the project activity. Schedules associated with the project are not available to external users until the project status is changed to "Active".

Site

The site at which the project activity takes place. The site name listed here is a hyperlink that opens the Site Details page for the site.

Master Project

A link to the Master Project Details page for the master project to which this project activity belongs. 

Change or Add New Master Project

Clicking this button opens a panel that allows the user to change the project activity to a different master project. The project activity can be changed to an existing master project or the user can create a new master project.

View History

Opens the Project Activity Edit History panel, which displays an audit trail of the changes that have been made to the project activity. Data logged includes the user that made changes, when the changes were made, and a listing of the old and new field values.
