Overview

As explained on the Sites, People Persons, and Organizations page, site, person, and organization records are all variations of the same type of master record within nVIRO. In most areas of nVIRO, the term "site" is used for all three variations. However, each of the three basic types has some attributes that are specific to that type. This page describes the attributes of the Organization type, as displayed on the Organization Details page.

Names, addresses, and phone numbers related to the site.

Relations

Other sites/persons/organizations that are in some way related to the current

site

organization.

Site Details Tab 

Controls

The following table lists the fields available on the Site Details tab.

Field

Description

Designated Name

The name of the

site

organization

Site

Organization Type

One or more types that indicate the categories of environmental activities relevant to the

site

organization, such as Wastewater, Biosolids, or Air Title V.

Address Line 1 and 2

The physical address of the

site

organization.

City/Locality

The city or locality in which the

site

organization is located.

County

The county in which the

site

organization is located.

State/Province

The state or province in which the

site

organization is located.

Postal Code

The postal code or ZIP code for the

site

organization.

Country

The country in which the

site

organization is located.

Address Comments

Any comments related to the

site

organization's address or physical location. 

Employer Identification Number

The organization's Employer Identification Number (EIN) assigned by the IRS.

Local Unit of Government (LUG)

Where applicable, the Local Unit of Government in which the

site

organization is located.

Waterbody

Waterbody related to the site.

Tax Parcel Number

The number of the tax parcel in which the

site

organization is located.

Primary Ownership Type

The type of entity that owns the

site–for

organization–for example, private, state, municipal, or federal.

SIC Codes

A list of SIC codes pertaining to the

site

organization. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description will appear below the text box.

NAICS Codes

A list of NAICS codes pertaining to the

site

organization. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description will appear below the text box.

Other Facility Classifications

Optional, additional types or classifications applicable to the

site

organization. These additional

facility

classifications are customized for each nVIRO implementation and so this list might not contain any values for some agencies.

Site Managers

One or more internal users designated as a Site Manager for this

site

organization.

HUC

The Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) in which the

site

organization is located.

HUC Segment

Enabled if HUC is selected.  Provides ability to search for and select the HUC Segment for the site.

Prevent External Access

This may be set if the site should never have external accounts related to it. Setting this checkbox prevents external users from accessing the site.

Right Sidebar Controls

The following table lists the fields available on the right sidebar.

Status

The current status of the

site

organization. All sites, persons, and organizations are "Active" unless merged into another site.

Photo

Displays a photo

of

for the

site

organization, if one has been uploaded using the Choose File button. Uploaded file must be either a .png or .jpg file.

Derived Data

This field is hidden for most deployments. This can display derived geospatial data (such as PLSS ), District data, or the County name based on the site's geographic coordinates on the Site Plan tab. See more below for a detailed explanation on configuration settings for this field.

Alternative Names

Displays alternative names used for the

site

organization, such as program-specific facility ID numbers or EPA numbers. Names can be added or modified by clicking the View All/Edit button.

View History

Opens the Site Edit History page, which displays a list of all changes to

site

organization data, including the date of each change and the user that made the change.

View in Explorer

Opens the

site in the

nSite Explorer tool, which displays geospatial data and Environmental Interest information related to the

site

organization.

Delete

SiteSplit/Merge

Organization

Deletes the organization (pending validation). Only visible to users who belong to security group/role with DeleteSites permission.

Split/Merge

Invokes the person Split / Merge record functionality.

Derived Data

This field will populate with two different pieces of data depending on how the District Offices are configured.

If the District Offices are not configured, and the site map is populated with a location, then a County will show under the derived data.
