Alerts draw attention to information related to a Site/Person/Org (will refer to as "Site" throughout the rest of this page) or to another related Site if it is included in a Portfolio.
Standard system alerts provide information on any expired permits needing renewal, outstanding financial balances or open compliance actions
Alerts may also be added manually to a Site to indicate there is a hazard at a site, such as chemical contamination or dangerous animals. Manual alert types are are configurable (via the database) to support standardization.
Viewing Alerts
Alerts display in the right sidebar of Sites, Permits, Evaluations and Compliance Actions.
Site Alerts
If the alert is for the current site, it displays under the Site heading.
Site alerts allow users to navigate directly to the related record that is the source of the alert by clicking on the alert. For example, clicking on the Permit alert above navigates to the Permit Detail screen of the permit.
Portfolio Alerts
If the alert is for a related site in a Portfolio, it displays under the Portfolio heading.
Portfolio alerts display an alert type and a count of the number of alerts for that type. In the above example, there are 177 Permit alerts in the Acme Asbestos Control portfolio.
Clicking on the View All Alerts... link opens an alert window displaying all of the alerts for the portfolio. From the Alerts window, users may click the related site names to open the related sites, or click the Manage Portfolio button to access the portfolio. Note that users must have "Portfolios - Administrator" security permission to manage a portfolio.
