Auto-Issuing Authorizations When a Master General Permit Goes Into Effect
When a new master general permit (MGP) is in the status of In Process, a processor can link new coverages to the MGP. When linked and the processing is finished, the status of the coverage can be set to Ready to Be Issued.
When the MGP is set to In Effect, the system will automatically update the linked coverages' issued and effective date to match the MGP, and will set the linked coverages to In Effect. The coverages' associated submissions will also be set to Completed. The expiration date will be determined in the permit category lookup settings.

If a renewal submission is received for an authorization is renewed within the MGP effective datethat is linked to an effective MGP, then the previous permit number existing authorization can be configured to automatically be assigned the status of Extended when the MGP expires. It This ensures that while the new permit authorization version is In Process, the old permit version is still coveredactive. This allows coverage not to lapse after the MGP expires but while the new permit version is In Process.
