Overview

As explained on the Sites, People and Organizations page, site, person, and organization records are all variations of the same type of master record within nVIRO. In most areas of nVIRO, the term "site" is used for all three variations. However, each of the three basic types has some attributes that are specific to that type.

This page describes the attributes of the Site type, as displayed on the Site Details page.

Navigation Tabs

The following navigation tabs are available across the top of the page:

Site PlanGeospatial information (map) for the site.
DocumentsDocuments related to the site.
EventsEvents related to the site, person, or organization.
Program ComponentsAdditional data entry fields related to the site. These components are customized for a particular agency or program, to display fields that are not included elsewhere in nVIRO.
ContactsNames, addresses, and phone numbers related to the site.
RelationsOther sites that are in some way related to the current site.

The following table lists the fields available on the Site Details tab. The Site, Person, and Org columns indicate whether each field appears on the Site Details, Person Details, or Organizations Details pages, respectively.

SIC CodesA list of SIC codes pertaining to the site. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description will appear below the text box.

NAICS CodesA list of NAICS codes pertaining to the site. Multiple codes can be listed, separated by commas. When a code is recognized by the system, its description will appear below the text box.

Other Facility ClassificationsOptional, additional types or classifications applicable to the site. These additional facility classifications are customized for each nVIRO implementation and so this list might not contain any values for some agencies.

Site ManagersOne or more internal users designated as a Site Manager for this site.

HUCThe Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) in which the site is located.

HUC SegmentEnabled if HUC is selected.  Provides ability to search for and select the HUC Segment for the site.

Prevent External Access

If this checkbox is checked for a given site, the "Invite User" option is not available on that site. (Note that, if this box is checked after there are already external users that have access to the site, their ability to access the site is not affected; it only prevents additional users from being invited.)

This checkbox is never visible to external users (that is, only internal users can turn this setting on or off).

Right Sidebar Controls

The following table lists the fields available on the right sidebar.

FieldDescription
StatusThe current status of the site.
Pending: A draft form submission has been created by an external user, but the form has not yet been submitted.
Active: The default status for a new site created by an internal user, or after at least one form has been submitted for the site by an external user
Inactive: The site has been merged into another site. See the Relations tab to see the target site.

Photo

Displays a photo of the site, if one has been uploaded using the Choose File button. Uploaded file must be either a .png or .jpg file. The availability of the Photo upload option is based on system configuration.
Derived DataThis area is hidden for most deployments. This area can display derived geospatial data (such as PLSS ) based on the site's geographic coordinates on the Site Plan tab.
Alternative NamesDisplays alternative names used for the site, such as program-specific facility ID numbers or EPA numbers. Names can be added or modified by clicking the View All/Edit button.
View HistoryOpens the Site Edit History page, which displays a list of all changes to site data, including the date of each change and the user that made the change.
View in ExplorerOpens the site in the nSITE Explorer tool, which displays geospatial data and Environmental Interest information related to the site.
Delete SiteDeletes the site (pending validation). Only visible to users who belong to security group/role with DeleteSites permission.
Split/MergeInvokes the site Split/Merge functionality. Only visible to users who belong to security group/role with MergeSplitSites permission.
