Splitting or merging a site is used when certain items have been created on an incorrect site, or more commonly, a duplicate site has been created. In this case, the whole of the items on the new site can be merged to the correct site, or a few items can be split to the correct site depending on what is needed.
Splitting a Site
In order to move a permit/evaluation to another site, visit the Site Details page of the site you want to split. Click the Split / Merge button. This button is only visible to users with a certain role.
A popup will appear with the Split/Merge details. Begin to type the name of the target site and a list will appear to select the target site. If moving permits/evaluations to another site, choose Selected Compliance Actions / Permits in Items to Move. The available permits will appear below. Select the permit numbers to move. After clicking Continue, as well as the double confirmation of clicking Yes. The items that were selected will be transferred to the new site.
Merging Sites
In order to merge all of the items to another site, follow the process above and select Everything (Merge). Once all items have been moved, the site will be inactivated.
