Overview

Permit Features are geographically placed items of infrastructure or activity that are referenced or regulated by a permit. A feature must be added to the Site Plan before it can be added to a permit.

Permit features can only be modified while a permit is in In Process status.

Display Modes

Depending on the configuration specified for the permit category, the relevant tab appears in either a Basic, Groundwater, or Surface Water mode. This is specified on the Permit Category administrative page as the Permit Feature Display Mode.

Basic Mode

When the permit category is specified as Basic mode, features may be associated with the permit, but limit sets and limits are not visible. In addition, the information specified when adding a feature to a permit is more limited.

Groundwater or Surface Water Modes

When the permit category is configured for either Groundwater or Surface Water mode, features, limit sets, and limits may be specified for the permit. When in one of these modes, additional information may be specified for each feature associated with the permit. This additional information varies based on whether the configuration is Groundwater or Surface Water mode.

Permit Features

Adding and Editing Permit Features

Features must first be added to the Site Plan before they can be added to a permit.

On the Features tab, either click the Add Permit Feature button or the three dot (More Actions) button for an existing permit feature.

Clicking the three dot (More Actions) button provides two options to choose from:

  • View in Site Plan - Navigates to the permitted feature within the site plan and allows editing of specific controls of the feature.

  • Edit Feature - Displays feature information and allows updating of comments related to the feature.

  • Delete Feature - Removes/deletes the feature on the permit.

Note - The option to delete a Feature will not be available if the Feature has Limits or Limit Sets.
