Permit Features

Permit Features

Overview

Permit features are areas of infrastructure or activity at a site that are referenced or regulated by a permit.

Display Modes

Each permit category has a Permit Feature Display Mode setting, which determines whether the permit’s Features tab appears in Basic, Groundwater, or Surface Water mode. To view or update this configuration, navigate to Admin > Lookups > Permit Categories or refer to the Permit Categories page.

If “None” is selected in the Permit Feature Display Mode field, the Features tab is hidden and features cannot be added to the permit.

Basic Mode

In Basic mode, features can be added to the permit, but limit sets and limits are not available, and only limited feature information is collected.

Groundwater and Surface Water Modes

In Groundwater and Surface Water modes, features, limit sets, and limits can be added to the permit, and additional feature information is collected, with available fields varying by mode.

Adding Permit Features

Permit features can be added to a permit or copied from another permit for that site.

A feature must be added to the Site Plan before it can be added to a permit.

Adding a New Permit Feature

To add a permit feature:

  • Navigate to the permit’s Features tab.

Permit features can only be edited when the permit is in In Process status.

On the Features tab, click the Actions button () next to an existing permit feature and select from the following options:

  • View in Site Plan: Opens the permit feature in the Site Plan interface and allows editing of specific controls.

  • Edit Feature: Opens the Edit Permit Feature panel and allows updating of feature comments.

  • Delete Feature: Removes the feature from the permit. Features with limits or limit sets cannot be deleted.
