Violations

Overview

Violations are deficiencies or compliance issues identified during an evaluation and addressed through compliance actions.

Violation Statuses

Violation statuses are configurable, but typically include the following:

  • Active – Not Reviewed: The violation is active but has not yet been reviewed by agency staff.

    • This is the default status for all new system-generated violations (such as for a late schedule or DMR).

  • Active – Reviewed/Evaluated: The violation has been reviewed and confirmed by agency staff.

    • This is the default status for all new manually entered violations.

  • Active – [Linked Compliance Action Category/Status]: A compliance action has been created that references the violation.

    • The specific language used for this status is configured by a system administrator in the REF_VIOL_TO_CMPL_ACTN_VIOL_STAT database table.

  • Inactive – Data Entry Error: The violation was created in error.

  • Inactive – Resolved: The violation has been resolved.
