When we get to writing this page, include the following about Related Permits (rephrase as necessary):

  • Re: Related Permits: When you have a draft permit, you can go to this tab and select one or more permits (doesn't have to be the same permit number) and add the Supersedes relationship. Then, when your draft permit gets changed to In Effect, those permits [that you added the relationship to] will get changed to Superseded.
  • If your permit is already In Effect, adding the Supersedes relationship as described above won't have any effect. Only super admins should even be able to see/do this, since they are the only ones who are able to change In Effect permits.

Field

Description

Program AreasA permit may be associated to one or more Program Areas.   To specify a program area, select it from the drop-down list and click the add button.  One program area may be designated as the primary program area.  By default this is the first program selected, but may be changed using the radio button in the list.Action The category of action being performed such as Informal, Formal, Civil, or Criminal TypeThe specific type of action being performed such as a Violation Notice or an Administrative Consent Order.  Type is dependent on the Action (category) specified. Permit Case NumberA case number may be entered to specify a related case for the permit.

Alternate Permit Number

Provides an alternative permit number that may be used in addition to the nVIRO permit number (e.g., to relate to external systems). 

This field may be hidden based on permit category configuration.

Issue Date

Date the permit is issued.

Effective Date

Date the permit goes into effect.

Expiration Date

Date the permit is no longer in effect. 

This is optionally available based on permit category configuration.

Terminated / Retired Date

Termination date of the permit.

Next Application Due Date

Date when the next application for permit renewal is due.

Permit Category

Categorization of the permit as defined by the permit category configuration.

Permit Type

Type of permit as defined by permit type configuration.

This field will be hidden if the selected permit category does not have any associated types.

General Permit

Permit number of the general permit upon which this permit is based. This field is available only if a 'general permit' category has been selected in the Permit Category field.

When processing a general permit coverage modification or reissuance, the General Permit field will only be editable if the workflow that created the permit version is configured to create a new permit version for reissuance. Ask an administrator for details.

This field is hidden if the selected permit category is not configured to link to a master general permit.

Compliance Manager Workgroup

The workgroup to which the

Agency Contact Workgroup

This field may be hidden based on permit category configuration.

Agency Contact User

The person to be contacted if the permittee has questions about their permit. The selected user's name, email, and phone is made visible to external users on the Permits List screen.

This field may be hidden based on permit category configuration.

Comments

Comments or notes related to the permit.

Confidential SettingsDisplayed if the permit is set to confidential.  See Designating a permit as Confidential
Right Sidebar

After the Fact Permit

Indicates the permittee was operating without a permit prior to the permit issuance.

Status

The current status of the permit.

  

Confidential Checkbox to designate the permit as confidential.  Only displayed if the permit type has been designated as confidential.  When checked, the system provides a mechanism to designate access to specific users

Update Status

This button invokes a dialog allowing the status of the permit to be changed.

Site

Name and address of the site to which the

violation

permit relates. The site name provides a hyperlink to the site record.

Site Alerts

Site alerts may appear if there are open permits, expired permits, or outstanding fees on the site, or if a manual alert has been set on the site.

Permittee

Name and address of the permittee. The permittee name provides a hyperlink to the permittee contact record.

Applications/Requests

Provides a link to the application record that initiated the permit creation or modification and displays the status of the application.

Other Actions - View Other Versions

Clicking this action provides a list of all other versions of this permit. From the list, any permit version may be opened.

Other Actions - View History

Provides an audit listing of changes made to the current permit over time

Editing the Permit Details

To edit the permit details:

  • Edit the fields on the Permit Details page.

  • Click the Save button.

  • A message is displayed, indicating your changes have been saved.

To edit data in other tabs, refer to the corresponding links in the Navigation Tabs table above.
