Sites in Mobile App

nSPECT provides the ability to conduct inspections in the field online or offline by using the nSPECT Mobile app for Apple iOS or Android. This page is focused on creating a new site or looking up existing sites in nSPECT Mobile. The options to access or create sites depend on the internet’s connectivity status.

Connectivity Status

Online

Online status is indicated by the cloud tab in the lower right corner with an indicator of how long ago the sync happened.

 

Offline

Offline status is indicated by two computer screens with an x mark in the lower right corner with the text displaying “Not Connected”.

When offline, the user can only create a new site. The option to search for a site does not exist while offline.

Creating a new site while offline or online

If there are no inspections in the queue, the Get Started button will be displayed; alternatively, the icon on the top right corner can be used.

When creating an ad-hoc inspection while offline, make sure to follow the flow of crating an ad-hoc inspection identified during implantation, the flow is determined differntly for each implementation depending on business need. Not following the defined process flow will cause the integration to fail with a possiblity of data loss.

Please note, there is no way of editing the site information while offline after creating the offline site.

 

If Get Started or is selected while online, the search for sites option will be displayed,

Clicking Create New Site displays the screen for creating a new site, fill in the required fields, which are marked by red asterisk and click save.

The Inspection details screen is displayed to select the Inspector, Inspection Type, and Scheduled Date. After filling in the required fields indicated by the red asterisk, click Save.

 

The newly created inspection is displayed, including all preloaded forms that are defaulted to the selected inspection type.

Searching and Editing an existing site

To search for sites select at the top right corner in the home screen, the screen is displayed with “Add new Inspection” title, in the search bar, type the site name and select Search, the site result is displayed.

 

 

To edit a site, click the edit button for the site, the site details page is displayed. 

                                                                 

Editing an inspection details while online or offline

If there is an existing inspection in the queue, the user is able to view and edit the inspection details by selecting the inspection.

Once the user selects the inspection, they can go to the details tab and click Edit.

The user will then be able to edit the inspection information and save the new information.

Once the user clicks save, the inspection main page will appear, allowing the user to continue with the inspection.
