nVISAGE Permissions (nVIRO Implementations)
Overview
nVISAGE security roles are now visible to nVIRO administrators and can be managed the same way as other user roles and permissions within nVIRO. Because client expectations vary regarding what an nVIRO super user should be able to do in nVISAGE versus a standard user, three new security groups have been introduced:
nVISAGE Reports Administrator
nVISAGE Reports Developer
nVISAGE Reports User
Each security group is defined by the roles within it. These roles are configurable; however, changes should be made with caution. Granting inappropriate permissions may expose advanced data query capabilities to users who are not familiar with relational queries, which can result in confusion or system misuse. For details on configuring security groups, see the Security Groups page.
nVISAGE-Related Security Roles
The following roles determine access and capabilities within nVISAGE:
API Administrator - Role may add/modify API services

The roles included in each nVISAGE security group are shown below.
nVISAGE Reports Administrator:
nVISAGE Reports Developer:
nVISAGE Reports User:
API Accessor Role
In addition to the roles listed above, the “API Accessor” role allows external systems to call API GET and POST services defined in nVISAGE. This role is intended strictly for system integrations and has no relevance for standard users who access data through the nVISAGE interface.
Special Report Folder Access
The following special folders have additional role-based access settings:
Map Layers folder: Enables custom map layers to appear in nSITE Explorer and the site plan
Data Warehouse folder: Allows reports to materialize as views or tables in the remote Data Warehouse
Prefill folder: Allows reports to be created for nFORM and nSPECT form prefill
System Administration folder: Provides access to system-level reports on the nVIRO Data Hub catalog and nVISAGE reports and allows limited editing of catalog item and report column names
