Inspection Samples
Overview
The Samples tab on the Evaluation Details page allows inspectors to review or add sampling locations and results.
Creating Samples and Results
For permitted facilities with discharge monitoring report (DMR) requirements, samples and results are created automatically when the inspection is created. For permitted inspections without DMR requirements, they can be added manually.
Auto-Generated Samples and Results
When an inspection is created for a permitted facility with DMR requirements, the Samples tab displays sampling locations for each permitted feature and monitoring point associated with the permit.
Result rows are generated for each parameter linked to each permitted feature and monitoring point. Additional samples and results can be added as needed following the process below.
Adding Samples
To manually add a new sample:
Click the Add Sample button.
Enter the sample information. The Sample Number is auto-generated.
Click the Save button.
Adding Sample Results
To add a sample result:
Open the sample, then click the Add Result button above the Results table.
Enter the result details. Results added manually will not have Limit Qualifier, Limit, or Limit Unit values.
Click the Save button.
Deleting Samples and Results
To delete a manually added sample or an individual result, click the Delete button next to the record. When prompted, click either the Yes button to confirm or the No button to cancel.
Deleting a sample also removes all of its associated results.
