Configuring Automatic Permit Issuance upon Submission Receipt (Instapermit)

When configured properly, nVIRO can perform the following steps automatically upon receipt of a submission:

  1. Import the received submission.

  2. Assign a workflow to the submission.

  3. Create the draft permit.

  4. Populate the permit with default information such as issue, effective, and expiration dates, and permittee name and contact information.

  5. Generate a permit document from a template, finalize it, and create a PDF version.

  6. Issue the permit.

  7. Set the related submission, workflow, and tasks to Complete.

  8. Email the permit document to the submission creator and permittee (if different from one another).

The required configuration steps are described below.

Configuration Steps

Use the steps below to configure nVIRO to automatically issue a permit upon receipt of a submission:

  1. Create and/or configure a Permit Category representing the permit to be created.

    1. Configure the permit category with a Permit Numbering scheme.

    2. If applicable, set the permit dates to be populated by default.

  2. Optionally create and/or configure a Permit Type if the permit is going to use the category and type sub-classification. Relate the Permit Type to the Permit Category.

  3. Create and/or configure the Document Template that represents the permit document. The template will need to be in the Permit functional area. (This step is optional.)

  4. Create and/or configure the Notification Template that will be used to notify the applicant of their new permit. The template will need to be in the Permit functional area.

  5. Create and/or configure a Workflow Template that will be added to the submission.

    1. The workflow template will need to be configured to create a new permit, and the options selected to indicate the permit category configured in Step 1 above to create (and if required, the permit type in Step 2).

    2. Set the options for the default permit document template configured in the step 3 above.

    3. Check the box to auto-issue the permit.

    4. Select the notification template in Step 4 above to notify the applicant of their new permit.

  6. Create and/or configure the application Form.

    1. Ensure an Applicant contact is specified in the form design. The applicant will automatically become the Permittee on the new permit.

    2. Set the form to auto-import (bypassing the Inbox).

    3. Set the form’s default workflow to the workflow template configured in Step 5 above.

The form should now result in the automatic issuance of a permit when the submission is received.
