Navigation, Searching, and User Profile
Main Navigation Menu
Upon logging in to nVIRO, the main navigation menu appears across the top of the page.
There are several items in the main navigation menu:
My Tasks: Opens the My Tasks Dashboard, which lists tasks assigned to the current user. This is the default landing page after signing in to nVIRO.
Inbox: Opens the Inbox, where users can search for and assign new submissions.
Admin: Opens the Admin menu, accessible only to users with administrative permissions.
Reports: Opens nVISAGE in a new tab.
Explorer: Opens nSITE Explorer in a new tab.
nSPECT: Opens nSPECT in a new tab.
Global Search Bar
The global search bar is to the right of the main navigation menu. Upon clicking it, users are prompted to choose one of two search options:
Basic search: Searches the system for matching site records. For more information, see the Basic Search page.
Search by topic: Provides a menu of search topics corresponding to nVIRO functional areas. For more information, see the Search by Topic page.
Icons
Three icons appear beside the global search box: History, Notifications, and Help.
History Icon
Clicking the History icon opens a list of the 10 most recently viewed functional area detail pages, with the most recent at the top. Clicking an entry navigates directly to that detail page.
Notifications Icon
Clicking the Notifications icon displays a list of recent notifications. Clicking an entry opens the Notifications page and the Notification Detail panel, which contains the full notification text. Clicking the View All button opens the Notifications page, where all user notifications can be viewed and managed.
Help Icon
Clicking the Help icon opens the help menu. Help links listed here are configurable and can be customized for internal and external users. Clicking a help link opens the linked page in a new tab.
The Windsor Product Support homepage is linked by default for internal users. If page-specific help is available, a Help with This Page - Product Support link appears. Clicking this link takes the user to the support page for the currently displayed page.
User Profile
Clicking the user’s name to the left of the icons opens the User Profile page, where user information and application preferences can be viewed and managed.
