Viewing and Editing Person Details
Overview
As explained on the Sites, Persons, and Organizations page, site, person, and organization records are all variations of the same type of master record within nVIRO. In most areas of nVIRO, the term "site" is used for all three variations. However, each of the three basic types has some attributes that are specific to that type. This page describes the attributes of the Person type, as displayed on the Person Details page.
Navigation Tabs
The following navigation tabs are available across the top of the page:
Tab Name | Description |

Details | Details about the person, such as contact information. |
Documents related to the person. | |
Events related to the person. | |
Names, addresses, and phone numbers related to the person. | |
Additional data entry fields related to the person. These components are customized for a particular agency or program, to display fields that are not included elsewhere in nVIRO. | |
Relations | Other sites, people, or organizations that are in some way related to the current person. |

Controls
The following table lists the fields available on the Person Details tab.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Designated Name | The name of the person. |
Person Type | One or more types that indicate the categories of environmental activity or related roles relevant to the person, such as Contractor, Pesticide Applicator, or Commercial Applicator. |
Prefix | The prefix used by the person. |
First Name | The person's first name. |
Last Name | The person's last name. |
Title | The person's title, if applicable. |
The person's email address. | |
Social Security Number | The person's Social Security Number. This field is obscured by default but can be viewed in plain text by clicking the Show button. The number can be obscured again by clicking the Hide button. |
Phone Numbers | A list of phone/fax numbers associated with the person. Additional numbers can be added by clicking the Add Phone Number button. |
Address Line 1 and 2 | The person's physical address. |
City/Locality | The city or locality in which the person is located. |
County | The county in which the person is located. |
State/Province | The state or province in which the person is located. |
Postal Code | The postal code or ZIP code in which the person is located. |
Country | The country in which the person is located. |
Address Comments | Any comments related to the person's address or physical location. |
Right Sidebar Controls
The following table lists the fields available on the right sidebar.
Field | Description |
---|---|
Status | The current status of the person record. All sites/persons/organizations are "Active" unless merged into another site. |
Photo | Displays a photo of the person, if one has been uploaded using the Choose File button. Uploaded file must be either a .png or .jpg file. |
Derived Data | This area is hidden for most deployments. This area can display derived geospatial data (such as PLSS ) based on the site's geographic coordinates on the Site Plan tab. |
Alternative Names | Displays alternative names related to the person, such as an ID number or license number. Names can be added or modified by clicking the View All/Edit button. |
View History | Opens the Site Edit History page, which displays a list of all changes to the person record data, including the date of each change and the user that made the change. |
View in Explorer | Opens the nSite Explorer tool, which displays geospatial data and Environmental Interest information related to the person. |
Delete Site | Deletes the person record (pending validation). |
Split/Merge | Invokes the person Split / Merge record functionality. |
