Compliance Action Types

Overview

Compliance Action Types provide a mechanism to classify the different types of compliance response the agency may issue in response to an alleged breach of law, rule, or permit requirement. Examples of a compliance action include a Notice of Violation letter or an Administrative Order. Compliance Action Categories are used to group compliance action types.

To manage compliance action types, navigate to Admin > Lookups > Compliance Action Types. The Compliance Action Type Maintenance page displays all available compliance action types.

(Read-Only)

When a Default Workflow Template is provided, the tasks from the specified workflow template will be automatically added to new Compliance Actions for the specified Program Area.

Default Workflow Templates ae only added for new Compliance Actions that are created. If the Compliance Action Type or Program Area is changed after initial creation, the previously-added form sets remain, and the new Default Workflow Template (form sets) are not added. A workflow row can be deleted (and re-submitted) if it is not used on any records.

Display 'Compliance Action Case Number' for Compliance Actions of this Type Checkbox

Indicates that a field is visible on the Compliance Action Detail page to allow users to indicate a case number for the compliance action. This is mutually exclusive to the compliance action number (see “Compliance Action Number Prefix” description below). Case numbers are also searchable in the Compliance Action List page.

Enable Confidentiality

Enables the Confidential checkbox on the Compliance/Enforcement Action Details page. This checkbox, when checked, allows the user to restrict visibility of and access to the compliance action to a specified set of users. See Designating a Compliance Action as Confidential.

Show 'Active' Compliance Actions of this Type in My Tasks

If checked, compliance actions in an Active status (e.g. Issued, Entered) will be visible on the user's My Tasks page. Unchecking this option can be useful to remove clutter if a user is assigned to many compliance active actions that do not require active work to be done.

Show Fines tab on Compliance Action Detail page

If checked, the "Fines" tab will display on the Compliance Action Details page for compliance actions of this type.

Compliance Action Number Prefix

If specified, nVIRO will apply a specific numbering scheme to new compliance actions created of this type. The available numbering schemes are configured as part of system installation and configuration.

If no Compliance Action Number Prefix scheme is selected, a compliance action number will not be generated.
